OCTOBER 4th - Community Infusion

Last year Fusion Credit Union launched our Community Infusion competition with a stated desire of:

“Community Infusion is focused on economic development as a means of positively affecting our communities, which could include elements such as job creation or opportunities, community engagement, small business and entrepreneurial support.”

This past June we embarked on the second year of our competition. Several applications from local businesses were received and scored through a vigorous scoring criteria. Fusion Credit Union judges narrowed the list down to eleven entrepreneurs who were asked to submit detailed business plans. After the judges reviewed and scored all business plans the "Final Five" were determined. These entrepreneurs will be pitching their business concept in front of a live audience and panel of judges on October 4, 2022, for a chance to share in $30,000 of grant funding.

This event is free to attend, and we cordially invite the public as well as all Chamber members to join us in showcasing the entrepreneurial spirit Western Manitoba has to offer. Event details are as follows:

OCTOBER 12th - WTC Webinar: Choosing a Business Structure

Attendees will learn:

 

  • The differences between corporations, sole proprietorships, and partnerships
  • The advantages and disadvantages of each structure
  • Receive tips on how to choose which one is best for them.

OCTOBER 19th - Trade Accelerator Program (TAP) cohort.


World Trade Centre Winnipeg is planning a new Trade Accelerator Program (TAP) cohort.

 

The cohort will begin on October 19, 2022, for businesses looking to be export-ready. The schedule is as per below:

  • October 19 & 20 (in person): learn and connect with industry experts
  • October 28 (in person): develop a personalized export plan
  • December 2 (virtual): 1-on-1 mentoring sessions with export expert.

TAP has helped over 1700 companies across CANADA expand their businesses and export their products and services by providing them with the right tools, resources and contacts.

WINTER 2022


World Trade Centre Winnipeg is planning a new Business Planning Program (BPP) session.


This program is for all entrepreneurs and future entrepreneurs and the next session takes place this winter, 2022. 


The BPP consists of:
- Seven half-day sessions
- A business advisor assigned to help, guide & support you
- Personalized support and access to industry experts
- A detailed workbook tailored for this program.
